Julie Sang from Centerville High School in Houston joined the Latham Lab for 5 weeks as part of the Welch Summer Scholar program. She worked closely with Zach (and Dr. Latham) studying two Rad50 mutants that have been found in cancer and became a pro at protein purification and Luminescence Resonance Energy Transfer (LRET). Julie was a very engaged student and was super fun to have in the lab! She presented her work at the poster presentation that concluded this summer's program. We might be biased, but hers was the best poster there!
